Police Probe Munatsi Death

The police have launched an investigation to ascertain the source of the fire that killed the Zimbabwe Investments and Development Authority CEO Doug Munatsi.

Munatsi died in an inferno in the early hours of yesterday at his Northfield Penthouse.

Reports claims that at 2.50am there was commotion and a neighbour went to investigate via his own balcony.

Munatsi is said to have cried out for a fire brigade to be called after a fire had broken out at his apartment.

A fire brigade attended to the scene and fought the blaze for two hours,but the fire had done the damage already.

Pictures seen by this publication details the extensive damage the fire caused.

Munatsi had been considered as one ED’s key allies and was appointed as the CEO of the Zimbabwe Investments and Development Authority.

Meanwhile the flat owners have engaged forensic investigators to acertain the source of the fire as there was no power at the complex.
