MDCA Plans To Penetrate ZANU PF Strongholds.

The MDC Alliance has disclosed that the party has plans to wrestle power from ZANU PF by penetrating the ruling party’s traditional strongholds.

The country’s largest opposition announced the development in a tweet posted by the MDCA EU branch Twitter page.

“Did you know as the MDC Alliance @mdczimbabwe we have plan for Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe, UMP? The @MdcRundu MDC Alliance Namibia will be providing material and financial support to turn UMP into an MDCA stronghold. We have a plan, don’t be lied to,”read the tweet.

The Nelson Chamisa led party enjoys popular support in the urban areas but has always fallen short in the rural areas where ZANU PF has dorminated over the past few years.

In 2018 ,the MDCA won the election in the urban areas but lost out in the rural areas with Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe giving the ruling party a large chunk of the total votes.

A few weeks ago,political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya called on the party to not only focus on urban areas but to campaign and mobilize in the ZANU PF strongholds inorder to neutralize the ZANU PF grip and gain the crucial rural vote.

“Dear MDC Alliance and Bvondo: All these people online who say you must have a campaign plan, policy plan overall for party and specific to rural hinterland mean well.

“Its ZANU PF’s centre of manipulation gravity and want that neutralised and changed. They don’t hate, hurt,” Ruhanya said.
