The ruling ZANU PF’s highest decision making body,the Politburo has announced a ring of changes to the party’s structures at the headquarters.
Addressing journalists during the weekly Politburo press briefing,Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo,announced the appointment of former finance minister Patrick China as the party’s acting National Political Commissar with immediate effect
Chinamasa takes over from his predecessor Victor Mademadanda who has been reassigned to the diplomatic service after accepting his appointment as the Zimbabwean Ambassador to Mozambique.
Furthermore,Kembo Mohadi,who resigned from government a few months back,has retained his position and will be the Party’s Second Secretary on a fulltime basis.
The Politburo also refuted allegations that ZANU PF ,had a hand in the controversial ruling handed down by Chief Zvimba to exhume former President Robert Mugabe’remains for burial at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.
Ambassador Moyo also announced plans by ZANU PF Women and Youth Leagues to hold elections from the lower to the NEC and the elections will be held by September this year
