Zanu-PF senior officials have continued to violate COVID-19 regulations following a more than 300 people rally held in Gweru Thursday, last week.
The party was reported to have held a gathering to celebrate the alleged defection of MDC Alliance members to their party.
It is reported that no legal actions were taken.
However in March, two MDC Alliance members Joana Mamombe and Cecilia Chimbiri were arrested while addressing a press conference outside the Harare Magistrates Court denouncing the arrest of fellow activist, Makomborero Haruzivishe charged with contravening national Covid-19 regulations.
But the two denied the allegations arguing they only addressed journalists, who are considered essential service workers in terms of the lockdown regulations.
They further argue that they were addressing to a limited number which is below 50 people but they are today appealing before Harare Magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti-Guwuriro facing the same charges.
According to the World Health Organisation and Health ministry regulations, a limited number of 50 people are allowed to gather and anything above the number is prohibited as an aim to curb the spreading of the pandemic.
