Nothing was stolen from ZACC office: ZRP

0

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has dismissed reports of a suspected unlawful entry into premises at the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) Mt Pleasant offices on 15 March 2021.

In a statement ZRP spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigations shows that nothing was stolen and there was no evidence of unlawful entry into the premises.

“Nothing was stolen or any form of tampering with objects or other items was observed. Indications are that the office curtain rail moved due to wear and tear thereby displacing a ceiling panel.”

This comes after unknown people reportedly broke into the office of Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) chairperson Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo over the weekend at Mt Pleasant Business Park.

ZRP further expressed gratitude to the public for its cooperation with ZACC during the investigations

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police wishes to thank the public and the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission staff for the cooperation exhibited during the course of investigations.”
