Parirenyatwa Hospital offers free Covid 19 PCR testing to students

Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals (PGH) is offering free Covid 19 PCR and certificates tests to secondary and tertiary students.

In conjunction with HigherLife Foundation, PGH issued a statement confirming that the PCR tests started as of 15 March 2021 and tests will be done on first come first serve basis at Parirenyatwa Hospital Casualty car park area.

“Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, in partnership with Higherlife Foundation is offering free Covid PCR testing and certification for students in Secondary schools and Tertiary Institutions.”

PGH further said the testing will be done between 0800hrs to 1530hrs and according to the arrangement, 150 students will be vaccinated per day.

Students coming for testing were however urged to bring identification card to prove that they are students.

“Students coming for testing should bring their institutional identity card or letter from the Principal of their school confirming their student status”

Meanwhile, the vaccination programme continued in all provinces in the country and up to date about 35359 people have been vaccinated countrywide.
