Henrietta Rushwaya who is currently on ZW$100 000 bail has been reinstated back as the Zimbabwe Miners federations (ZMF) president, it has emerged.

Rushwaya was arrested at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International airport late last year on allegations of attempting to smuggle 6 kilograms of gold worth $333 0000 to Dubai.
Her arrest together with the federation’s Secretary for External Affairs, Gift Karanda prompted ZMF board members to suspend the two for allegedly bringing the name of the federation into disrepute.
However, Rushwaya’s suspension was overturned during a meeting that was held by the national executive members on Tuesday at a local hotel.
ZMF chief executive officer Wely Takavarasha confirmed her reinstatement to NewsDay.
“I can confirm that Henrietta Rushwaya has been unanimously reinstated as ZMF president. A national executive meeting has been held at Rainbow Towers hotel today and all members agreed that she be given back her position.”
