I last saw my daughter last year: Moana’s father speaks.

Moana’s father Mr Ishamel Amuli said he last observed his daughter early last year and was upset and stressed over her celebrating conduct.


Speaking at the memorial service wake in Highfield, Mr Amuli (58) told the media that his relationship with Moana turned sour in 2017 when she left her ex-husband to join partying with celebrities.


“In 2017, Mitchelle had issues with her husband, who came to drop their child in Domboshava. Mitchelle later came to pick her daughter and I plunked down with her, revealing to her that I wasn’t happy with her behavior”. . I heard a lot about my daughter that she had become a party animal and was featuring in several musical videos. I got angry and slapped her twice and she left home for good”.


He further added that he is worried about his daughter memorial service as he is a Muslim yet Moana’s behavior was against their religion.


“A year ago I saw her, yet we never talked a lot. I am a Muslim and what she was doing was against our religion. Presently how would I tell my seniors at chapel and in what capacity will she be covered?”


“We are presently at her mom’s home in Highfield on the grounds that I didn’t completely pay lobola for her mom. I actually owe parents in law, yet that is a story for one more day,” he said.

Mr Amuli said he parted ways with Moana’s mom while his girl was as yet a little child.
“I quit my job to care for my youngsters. I had five youngsters and Mitchelle was the second born and only young girl. She had a girl named Tyra. I stay in Domboshava in Chirombo Village. I used to hear a some neighbors revealing to me that my daughter was at Ginimbi’s home.Now I am informed that she hosted a birthday gathering at a club in Harare and she kicked the bucket on her way back,” he said.


Mr Amuli separated during the meeting. Moana’s memorial service wake is at Number 547 Engineering, Highfield.


Moana featured in a few music videos which incorporate Takura’s mainstream track “Zvemoyo”, Enzo Ishall’s “Mwenje” and Freeman’s video “Muridzo”.
