Former ZANU PF Youth League Political Commissar Godfrey Tsenengamu has been granted ZWL$10k bail by the High Court.
In granting him temporary freedom, High Court Judge Justice Davison Foroma says magistrate erred in failing to find that he is not flight risk.
“No evidence was provided by the state that his life was in danger and that locking him up would make him safe.”
The vibrant politician was arrested more than a week ago after he voluntarily handed himself over to the Zimbabwe Republic Police following months of being on police wanted list.
Tsenenengamu is facing charges of inciting public violence ahead of the July 31 protest.
