Withdraw Your Children from Schools – Ngarivhume urges parents

Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume has urged parents to withdraw children from schools with immediate effect.

Ngarivhume has been on a tour around the country and noticed scenarios, things, and issues that are amiss in most schools.

“There are no teachers expect headmaster, deputy headmaster and reception staff and children are on their own and they are not taking any classes because there is no one to discipline the children which are now behaving in a not so desirable manner,”

“I urge parents to withdraw as a matter of urgency, the educational crisis has deepened to a point you cannot let your children stay in schools without any guidance,”

“…,even if they are to write exams and supposedly pass, for six months they have been at home due to the Covid19 and now they have opened there are no teachers, if they are to pass or fail what will that mean to the standard and quality of our education, we can’t compromise the quality and standard of our education,” he said

He further implored government and parents to converge and have discussions on what they should do to curb this educational crisis.

Commenting on a viral video of a nasty classroom fight last week, ZCTU urged the government to close schools till the ongoing teacher’s strike is over.
