Previously incarcareted Investigative Journalist Hopewell Chi’nono expressed that detained ZINASU president Takudzwa Ngadziore is experiencing what he went through behind the walls of Chikurubi Maximum Prison.

Chi’nono’s sentiments comes after Ngadziore has been detained for almost 25 days following his arrest near Impala Car Rental while addressing Journalists in Harare demanding the release of information pertaining to the abduction of Tawanda Muchehiwa in Bulawayo by suspected state agents.

He is been charged of inciting public violence as well as violating his bail conditions of going near Impala car rental despite conveying the presser 101m away.

Posting on Microblogging site following Ngadziore’s appeal for bail at the High Court , Chi’nono said that he feels bad for Ngadziore being carried by prison vehicles taking him to the horrible Prison , a situation he is aware of how it feels.

“I feel sad seeing ZINASU president boarding the prison van going back to a horrible reality I know how it feels”.

“No water in the cells, sewage flowing where inmates get their food, overcrowding, no masks for all prisoners.”

“His only crime is asking for accountability,” he said.

Chi’nono spent almost six weeks in detention at Chikurubi following his arrest on charges of inciting public violence , he was denied bail three times and freed at his fourth attempt.

Following his release he described the deplorable conditions there as ‘unhealthy for human habitation’.

While Ngadziore is detained there , he feels his experiencing the same deplorable Prison conditions.

Meanwhile , ZINASU has petitioned Minister of Justice Ziyambi Ziyambi to release their leader.
