Four Women Fined for Soliciting Prostitution Via Social Media in Harare.
Four women, aged between 22 and 30, were fined in the Harare Magistrates Court yesterday after being charged with soliciting for the purposes of prostitution using social media platforms.
The arrests followed a tip-off received by the police on May 9, 2025, around midday.
The report concerned a group of women allegedly offering massage and sexual services for a fee at a premises in Hillside, Harare.
The business was described as a “massage parlour.”
Following the tip-off, police conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of the four women.
All four individuals pleaded guilty to the charge brought before the Harare Magistrates Court.
Each of the offenders was sentenced to pay a fine of US$30. In the event of failing to pay the fine, they will be required to serve one month in prison.
