President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called on farmers to re-double their efforts towards enhancing production and productivity across all cereal crops. The President made the call during the commissioning of the country’s first Artificial Intelligence-powered Grain Silos in Kwekwe, a state-of-the-art facility with a storage capacity of 56,000 tonnes.

“As we modernize our agricultural sector, it is imperative that farmers increase their production and productivity to ensure food security and contribute to national development,” President Mnangagwa said. “I urge farmers to adopt best practices, leverage technology, and optimize their resources to achieve higher yields and better quality crops.”

The President’s call to action emphasizes the importance of cereal crops in Zimbabwe’s food security and economic growth. By increasing production and productivity, farmers can play a critical role in ensuring that the country has a stable food supply and can also contribute to the national economy.

President Mnangagwa’s message to farmers is clear: by working together and leveraging modern technologies, Zimbabwe can achieve its agricultural potential and improve the lives of its citizens. The commissioning of the AI-powered Grain Silos is a significant step towards modernizing the country’s agricultural sector, and the President’s call to action is expected to inspire farmers to strive for excellence in cereal crop production.
