Scottland FC is set to embark on its inaugural Premier Soccer League (PSL) away trip, as they prepare to face off against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.
Following three consecutive home games at Rufaro Stadium in Harare, the team, nicknamed Mabviravira, is ready to take on the Bulawayo giants.
Owner Pedzisayi ‘Scott’ Sakupwanya is confident ahead of the clash, boldly predicting a 4-0 victory over Highlanders.
“We’re coming for you, and we’ll beat you 4-0,” he stated. This bold prediction has set the tone for an exciting encounter between the two teams.
On the other hand, Highlanders captain Ariel Sibanda is eager to face Scottland FC, citing high team spirits. The team recently concluded a week-long training camp in Beitbridge, which Sibanda believes helped them bond and address mistakes.
“The international break was a blessing in disguise because this camp helped us bond and work on our mistakes,” he said.
As the two teams prepare to clash, the stage is set for an exciting encounter. Will Scottland FC’s confidence translate to a victory, or will Highlanders prove to be too strong on their home turf? The answer will be revealed on Sunday when the two teams take to the field.
