World Vision Zimbabwe Boosts Emergency Response with US$820,000 Donation

World Vision Zimbabwe contributed to the country’s healthcare sector by handing over eight Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOCs) worth US$820,000 to the Ministry of Health and Childcare with the aim to strengthen emergency response capabilities across the country.

The PHEOCs will serve as hubs for coordinating preparation, response, and recovery efforts during public health emergencies. These centers will enhance communication and collaboration among relevant stakeholders, ensuring a more effective management of public health emergencies.

The handover ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Kwidini, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services and emergency response capabilities.

This donation is part of World Vision Zimbabwe’s efforts to support the government’s initiatives in strengthening healthcare systems and addressing public health challenges. With this contribution, World Vision Zimbabwe has demonstrated its commitment to improving the lives of Zimbabweans, particularly in the face of public health emergencies.
