Justice Gibson Mandaza has postponed bail hearing for HStv journalist Blessed Mhlanga to a date unknown as he stated that he needs time to consider if the applicant deserves bail.

Initially, Blessed Mhlanga was arrested for alleged incitement of violence after covering press conferences that were organised by war veteran, Blessed Geza.

Mhlanga’s lawyer, Chris Mhike stated that Blessed is entitled to bail and he will push for the consideration of their bail application.

“The bail appeal proceedings for blessed are ongoing, we have made a brief appearance before Justice Mandaza and we made a preliminary application whose details will not be divulged at this stage. We shall reconvene at a time to be indicated by the judge in a moment.

“We remain convinced that Blessed is entitled to bail.”Said Mhike.

“We will be fully ventilated in court with the state also getting an opportunity to substantiate their opposition to the bail.” He added.
