Samsung Support has blamed Google for the delay in releasing the One UI 7 update, sparking debate among users and tech experts. The controversy began when a Galaxy S24 user asked Samsung when the update would be available. In response, a Samsung customer service agent claimed that the company was waiting on Google to release Android 15 before One UI 7 could roll out.
However, industry experts quickly pointed out that while Samsung builds One UI on top of Android, it is responsible for its own software updates. Google had already released Android 15, and Samsung had been testing One UI 7 in beta for months, raising doubts about the claim.
The response from Samsung Support, which also included a personal guarantee from the agent that the update would come, seemed unusual for a corporate reply. Some users questioned whether the exchange was real, while others speculated that the agent might have been misinformed.
