NetOne Pvt Ltd Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Learnmore Musunda, has said the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) which he leads is continuing to celebrate the beauty of Albinism Awareness Campaign.
In a side interview following a press conference organized by the Albinism Dare To Dream Initiative (ADDI), an organization that advocates for issues of people with Albinism, NetOne Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Learnmore Musunda said,
“At NetOne, we believe in the power of unity and the beauty that comes from embracing our differences. The ‘Albinism: Let’s Embrace Each Other’ campaign is more than a call for awareness; it is a celebration of the extraordinary beauty that albinism brings to our shared humanity.”
Musunda added that there is power in diversity and accepting those with albinism as equals to those without.
The Chief Commercial Officer said, “Albinism is a radiant thread in the tapestry of our diversity, a testament to the strength, resilience, and uniqueness that make our communities whole. Every individual with albinism carries a light that enriches the world, a reminder that beauty comes in all forms, tones, and stories.”
In the same vein, the first ever Mr & Miss Albinism Africa plus African Diversity Festival was introduced at todays presser by Brenda Mudzimu, the executive director of the Albinism Dare to Dream Initiative (ADDI), an organization that looks at the affairs of people with albinism.
The Executive Director said, “We are excited to present to you, and officially announce the first ever Mr and Miss Albinism Africa pageant plus African diversity festival, an event that was birthed from a vision to build the confidence and self-esteem of persons with albinism in Africa. The vulnerability suffered by people with albinism does not stem from any mental or physical disability, but is a result of discrimination, stigma and social exclusion.”
Mudzimu was joined by her colleagues who are also co-organizers of the pageant and festival who include TODD TAURAYI GONI the Finance Manager, JENNIFER MADIRIZA from the media and marketing department, LEON JALAS also from the media and marketing department, RUTENDO MUSA from participants development and ALLAN BRYAN GABRIEL MBOTSHWA from the Participants department.
