The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) has witnessed a surge in demand for both local and foreign exhibitions this year, reflecting the growing recognition of the event’s benefits within the business community.

Speaking at the official opening of the 114th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, ZAS President Mr. Ngoni Kudenga noted the significant growth in both the total available exhibition space and the number of stands. “For this year, the available exhibit space is 78,224 square meters, a 2% increase from the 77,000 square meters that was there in 2023,” he stated.

“This year, the demand for exhibition space is strong, with 564 exhibitors having taken up 78,224 square meters of the total space so far. This represents a significant increase from the previous year, when 525 exhibitors occupied 73,000 square meters of the available 77,000 square meters,” Mr. Kudenga added. “The growth in both total available space and the number of exhibitors highlights the continued popularity and importance of ZAS.”

Foreign participation has also seen a rise, with 12 countries confirming their involvement. “To date, 12 foreign participants from India, Brazil, South Africa, Zambia, Pakistan, Eswatini, Japan, Russia, Mozambique, China, Malawi, and Tanzania have confirmed their participation,” Mr. Kudenga announced.

Founded in 1895, ZAS continues to uphold its mission of promoting and advancing the agricultural industry in Zimbabwe. This year’s show runs under the theme: “Cultivating Prosperity, Growing Business. Innovation for Change. Nurturing Our Future.”
