Febrite Pvt Ltd marked a significant milestone today by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NEXOS, a company based in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The ceremony, held in Harare, signifies a partnership aimed at enhancing technological and industrial collaboration between Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
At the signing ceremony, Washington Chikombingo, the Chief Executive Officer of Febrite Pvt Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “It is my singular honour to have you grace this wonderful milestone event where two giants are joining forces for the betterment of our two great nations,” Chikombingo said. He emphasized the importance of the MOU, describing it as a historic event that would bring pride to the leadership and citizens of both countries.
Febrite Pvt Ltd, a member of the WC Holdings International Group established in 2011, has been a key player in Zimbabwe’s energy sector. However, the company’s reach extends beyond energy, with divisions in healthcare, mining, international trade, contracting, engineering, and general commodity brokerage. Over the years, Febrite Pvt Ltd has executed several contracts with Zimbabwean state institutions, including ZETDC, ZPC, REA, and the Municipality of Chegutu, among others.
Chikombingo highlighted the potential of the new partnership, saying, “This marks the beginning of a new force that I expect to grow beyond our imaginations.” He added that the MOU would have a lasting impact, extending well beyond the lives of its current signatories.
“Our main focus of the venture is targeting new innovations in artificial intelligence, energy solutions, project management and contracting, and technology transfer,” Chikombingo explained. He also revealed plans to establish manufacturing and distribution plants across Zimbabwe, with the goal of expanding into the SADC region and participating in the African Continental Free Trade Area.
In line with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030, which promotes the country as “a friend to all and an enemy to none,” Chikombingo described the MOU as the beginning of a strong mutual friendship and business collaboration. He further emphasized the importance of inclusive development, stating, “We are committed to leaving no one and no place behind, whether in urban areas or rural regions.”
Chikombingo concluded by expressing a desire to learn from Pakistan’s experiences to improve the welfare of Zimbabwe. “We are learning from the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to improve the welfare of our great nation, motherland Zimbabwe,” he said.
