“Show SADC Massive Progress Zim registered Against all odds, Sanctions & Climate change” – Pres Mnangagwa

Zimbabwe President, Dr Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has said Zimbabwe has progressed immensely in spite of attacks from those who do not wish the country well, Western imposed sanctions and the country’s other fight against climate change.He urged citizens to showcase to regional visitors from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) bloc the resilience Zimbabweans have that has contributed to the fundamental economic growth inspite of western machinations and any other hurdles faced head on.

President Mnangagwa said this today at the burial of the national hero, Makhethi Ndebele, known by his nom de guerre Jack Mpofu, whom he presided over his burial where he was laid to rest at the National Heroes’ Acre in Harare.

The Head of State said the country is now, “ready to host the SADC Summit. ”

The President added, “Let us take the opportunity to showcase the massive progress we have registered against all odds, despite the Western sanctions and climate change.”

Mnangagwa also said Cde Makheti Ndebele was an epitome of patriotism and called upon the youths to emulate his selfless dedication to the country.

Mnangagwa concluded his speech by saying that Zimbabwe is a unitary state and will remain united as he handed over the National Flag to the Ndebele family representative.

When the body of Cde Makhethi Ndebele was taken to its final resting place, thousands who thronged heroes acre ululated in heeding the presidents call.
