High Court Judge Justice Rodgers Manyangadze has granted bail to Neville Mutsvangwa, son of Zanu PF bigwigs Christopher and Monica Mutsvangwa, and his co-accused, with each required to pay a $1000 bail.
The bail conditions, set by Justice Manyangadze, include:
– Paying $1000 or its equivalent in Zimbabwean dollars
– Reporting to the nearest police station twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, between 6 am and 8pm
– Refraining from interfering with witnesses in the case
– Surrendering their traveling documents to the authorities
Mutsvangwa’s lawyer, Josephene Sande who has been working tirelessly to secure her client’s release expressed satisfaction at the outcome.
“It has been almost a month of running around and having stress not sleeping trying to put things in order , but fortunately we are happy and l am also happy for Neville who has been strong”, said Sande.
Mutsvangwa was arrested early this month on allegations of illegal forex dealing as well as money laundering.
