Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has released a statement informing parents, stakeholders, guardians, and candidates of the interbank rate that will be used in the Ordinary and Advanced Levels school examinations.
Earlier this year the Ministry announced that registration would commence in March but the interbank rate for June and November examinations would be announced.
The ZIMSEC announcement read,” Fees are pegged in United States Dollars, the parents and guardians are comfortable to pay in their local currency and Rands until the registration closing dates. The interbank rate will be used from 13 to 20 March 2024.
The exchange rate to be applied for payment is ZWL 17 558 to 1 USD. Payments for the examination fees should not be paid directly into ZIMSEC accounts by individual parents. Parents and candidates should make payments to the school or center of registration for forward remission to ZIMSEC.
Candidates and parents are encouraged to contact their respective centers for registration closing dates to avoid any inconveniences. For more information contact ZIMSEC Regional Offices or Head Office 1 Upper East Road Mount Pleasant, Harare (0242-302622/3
