ZETDC Fined USD200 For Culpable Homicide

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has appeared before the Murambinda Magistrate Courts on culpable homicide charges.
The incident in which the deceased was electrocuted by the wire cables exposed at a farm paddock happened on the 3rd of March 2022. He succumbed to injuries and died on the spot.
“An incident which happened on the 3rd of March 2022 at around 1500 hours wherein the now deceased Havatendi Kangetsambo (52) was electrocuted by exposed wire cables at a farm paddock”, said the statement by National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe.
ZETDC was ordered to pay a fine costing USD200.
