ZEC Reveals 6 April By-Elections Names of Nominated Candidates

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chief Elections Officer (CEO) Utoile Silaigwana has revealed names of nominated candidates for the 6 April By-Elections.

Silaigwana exclusively revealed to TechMag TV the names of the nominated candidates stating that, “It is hereby notified, in terms of section 125(4) of the Electoral Act [Chapter 2:13], that at the close of sitting of the nomination court which sat on Fri 23 Feb 2024, the candidates listed in the Schedule ..were duly nominated for election as councillors in the Wards next to their names.”

Silaigwana added that, “Accordingly polling shall take place , on Saturday 6 April 2024 from 07:00 am to 7 pm for the purpose of electing Councillors for the said wards.

The names are, Moyo Henry of the political party named UZA, Ndimande Celani an Independent, Sigauke Donald Chewareerwa ZanuPF candidate, all males fighting for the Kusile Rural District Council (RDC) Ward 13.

Other contestants are fighting for the Midlands province town of Redcliff Municipality Ward 3 who are, Sibanda Rangarirai an Independent tussling against Sigauke Christina of Zanu Pf and the only female wrestling for this constituency also against Siciba Tinei another Independent.
