The Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Retired General Constantino Chiwenga has strongly and firmly rejected and denounced a scholarship offer to recruit students into Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) activities.
The country has legislated against all such behaviours and saw them as unlawful and criminal to our national values and beliefs as a Christian nation.
In a statement by VP Chiwenga had this to say, “Government sees such scholarship offer as a direct challenge on its authority and thus will not hesitate to take appropriate measures to enforce national laws and protect and defend national laws.
“Our schools and institutions of higher education will not entertain such applicants, let alone enrol persons associated with such behaviour. Our country has no room for such alien, anti-life, un-African, and unchristian values.”
The government encourages students who enrol in tertiary education to approach government departments tasked to give grants and scholarship support to unprivileged students.
They should never tempt and sell their souls for such abominable and devilish offers.
Zimbabwe is a sovereign African state, with definite laws and values that typify it, cutting it apart from other mores.
