Marapira Takes Swipe At Chamisa

ZanuPF Director of Information and Publicity Farai Marapira says Nelson Chamisa should stop pointing fingers at Zanu PF.
Yesterday, the former president of Citizen Coalition for Change announced that he was disassociating himself from the party, leaving it in the hands of the self-imposed Secretary General Sengedzo Tshabangu.
In his lengthy speech, Chamisa explained how the ruling party which he alleged to be in alliance with Tshabangu led to his decision,
“This person who is unknown to us, now single-handedly wields so much power. He has basically been turned into an organization, courtesy of the Zanu PF.
The emergence of this imposter should not be looked at in isolation from the 23 August sham. They failed to achieve your disenfranchisement through the 23 August sham. They are pursuing this agenda, till this day, an attempt to suppress the voice of you, the citizens” it reads.

Marapira said Chamisa should stop pointing fingers at Zanu PF for his own shortfalls.
“He cannot be responsible enough as a leader to hold himself to account for his own failures.”
He went on to say Chamisa has failed as a leader.
“What is happening in CCC is a result of leadership failure within Chamisa himself. It is not Zanu PF which has advised him to strategic ambiguity. It is not Zanu PF that has advised him to run a party without structures.”
“These are weaknesses which he has exposed which are inherent within him and they come back to bite him,” said Marapira.
He also alluded that Chamisa has made Zanu PF a powerful brand by keeping on pointing fingers at them,
“He makes Zanu PF appear to be a superpower which is just fixated on him,”
“We have no reason to filtrate CCC, all one needs to do is to sit aside and watch him destroy himself and that is what Zanu PF has done.”
Marapira also mentioned that Chamisa lacks political maturity
“For him to show that he has reached political maturity, to show that he has outgrown student activism he needs to come to terms with his weaknesses, he needs to be a democratic person who is willing to engage even from within his party, people with divergent views,” said Marapira.
