The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has been dealt another blow after Harare Mayor Lovejoy Chtitengu was recalled by self proclaimed secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu.
In a letter addressed to the ministry of local government and public works,Tshabangu said that the ward 36 councillor had been recalled as he had ceased to be a member of the party.
The latest onslaught comes at a time calls for the party to withdraw from parliament in protest over illegal recalls have grown louder.
The party recently had its candidates barred from the 9 December by-election after a High Court juidgement expelled the candidates from the election,a move viewed by many as an attempt by the ruling ZANU PF to attain two thirds majority following a dispute a election.
Meanwhile the CCC told journalists yesterday that it is currently going through a national consultation on the way forward.
