Palestine and Zimbabwe stood united in protests and condemning Israel’s war attacks on Palestine in the Gaza region.

A solidarity march was held this Saturday in Harare to condemn the war against Palestine in the Gaza region by Israeli forces, which has resulted in the destruction of hospitals, schools and residential flats as well as killing and displacing Palestinian civilians.

Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tammer Almassri said, “It’s a genocide war happening in the Gaza strip, 11 500 people have been killed so far and most of them are children, pregnant mothers, hospitals are destroyed and out of service. People have been displaced.

“We condemn this war and as Palestinians will not give up, will not raise a white flag,” said Ambassador Almassri.

Zimbabweans who joined the march condemned the attacks by Israel.

The government of Zimbabwe represented by Diplomat Minister, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa said, “We as Zimbabweans stand with our Palestinian friend and we call out for a corporate immediate ceasefire by Israel so that lives do not continue being lost, we condemn siege warfare against a population. This is wrong, siege warfare is against humanitarian and It’s not acceptable under the United Nations charter.”
