POSB, Powertel Ties Knot

People’s Own Saving Bank (POSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subsidiary of ZESA Holdings Powertel Communication.

The agreement is aimed at providing customers with the best possible banking experience and communication technology solutions.

During the signing, POSB Chief Executive Officer Garainashe Changunda said, “We believe that this partnership with Powertel Communication will help us achieve this goal by leveraging their experience in the telecommunication industry.

“Powertel Communication is already our internet bandwidth provider; the agreement adds further impetus to our growing relationship and opens doors for more synergies opportunities for the mutual benefit of both organisations.”

The union will cover areas of collaboration which include payment processing, customer acquisition, loyalty programs and co-branding.

Changunda added that the MOU is coming when both POSB and Powertel Communication have been placed under the Mutapa investment henceforth sharing a common vision of providing innovative, affordable and convenient solutions to customers.
