Former Minister of State in charge of the Midlands Province, Larry Mavhima has resigned from active politics with immediate effect, TechnoMagTv has established.
Mavima has been forced to resign following his appointment as a Commissioner in the Public Service Commission.
The self-styled politician was ZANU PF Provincial chairman in the Midlands Province.
In a letter addressed to ZANU PF Secretary General, Mavhima broke the news of his resignation.
“It is with regret that I submit my resignation as the Party Provincial Chairman for the Midlands Province.
“This resignation, albeit regrettable been necessitated by my other opportunity that has arisen, which unfortunately conflicts with my position as the Party Provincial Chairman of the Midlands Province,” read the resignation letter.
Mavhima was instrumental in spearheading several developmental projects in the Midlands Province.
