SADC Summit To Reconvene In Angola

After the virtual meeting of the Extra Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and government today, the summit is set to reconvene on the 4th of November 2023 in Luanda, Angola, according to the press release seen by this publication today.

This was revealed via a statement from the regional body.

“The virtual Extra-Ordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government which started today the 31st October 2023, will reconvene in person in Luanda Republic of Angola on the 4th of November 2023.

“The summit will finalize discussions on the consolidation of peace, security and governance in the SADC region. The SADC Summit is responsible for the overall policy direction and control of the function of the community,” read the statement.

Executive Chairman of the Southern African Political Series Trust lbbo Mandaza was quick to add his voice on the development, commenting on his X account and had this to say;

” Yes, Chofamba, everyone is commenting on the opening remarks – the protocols associated with such diplomatic meetings – of the Summit, but not the substance coz that’s yet to be tabled- on 4 November, this Saturday, in a physical meeting, specifically on Zimbabwe “.
