Citizens’ Coalition For Change (CCC) Youth Task Force through its Register, Elect and Protect (REAP) initiative has launched a WhatsApp Chatbot that provides detailed information regarding processes such as – voter registration,schedule on the current blitz and news concerning the upcoming elections.
Users can access the chatbot by texting ‘REAP’ on the Whatsapp number +263 712 222 697.
According to a REAP representative the chatbox can be accessed by all regardless of any political affiliation.
” The chatbot is an automated software which provides for information around electoral resources like registration centres, the schedule of the blitz and also offers you press releases and news essential at this critical juncture,
“The chatbot also gives an easy and accessible chance for any ordinary citizen who is on WhatsApp to just type the word reap and interact getting any information they are seeking in terms of voter registration,” he said.
Other available options on the chatbot include inquiries about the CCC, the purchase of regalia, donations and information on ongoing campaigns.
