Zimbabwe’s mobile penetration rate has increased by 3.6% to reach 95.6%from 93.3% recorded in the second quarter of 2022, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) Sector report has revealed.
Meanwhile the total active mobile subscriptions also increased by 4% to reach 14,562,242; up from 14,006,034.
” Total active mobile subscriptions increased by 4% to reach 14,562,242 up from 14,006,034.Hence the mobile penetration rate increased by 3.6% to reach 95.6%from 93.3%,” the report read.
Mobile Phone Penetration refers to mobile phone usage in a particular country. It is usually expressed as the ratio of SIM cards to the total population.
