TechMagTV Journo Grabs NAC 2021 Gong

TechnoMag and TechMagTV reporter Pellagiah Mupurwa has won the 2021 National Aids Council (NAC) Award.

Mupurwa came second in the Online Media category.

Speaking to journalist after the award ceremony, Mupurwa said she dedicates the award to her workmates and family for the support.

“It is a great honour for me to receive this special award and I am tremendously pleased to be selected as one of the winners. The biggest honour goes to my workmates for their professional advices and assistance,” she said.

“I would also like to thank my parents, friends and family for their blessings and the constant support that they have given me, I am grateful,” she added.

The award ceremony was held at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera, Mashonaland East Province.

NAC launched the HIV Awards in 2017 as a way to reward and honour journalists in the print and electronic media who reports extensively and passionately on HIV and AIDS.

This year’s awards were held on the 1st of December, a day when the rest of the world was commemorating the World AIDS Day, and the commemorations were running under the theme dubbed “Equalise”.
