The world’s richest man, Billionaire and newly-minted owner of Twitter Elon Musk has claimed that Apple has threatened to withhold Apple Store from Twitter.
Twitter ‘s new owner said this on his twitter handle, he alluded that Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter.
“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?
“Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.” he said.
In one of his tweets Musk even asked Apple CEO Tim Cook directly why Apple stopped advertising on Twitter.
“What’s going on here @tim cook?,” he said.
If Apple is to block Twitter from its App Store it means new iPhone users and iPad users will not be able to download the Twitter app and all existing users will not be able to access Twitter updates.
Earlier this month Musk revealed that his company had seen a massive drop in revenue.
About 40 Companies have also stopped from advertising on Twitter after Musk acquisition which include Nestle, the Coca-Cola Company, Yum! Brands, Chanel, CNN, General Mill and car maker Audi among others.
