The indaba served as a platform for in-depth reviews of existing fire management protocols and the exploration of strategies to enhance their effectiveness in safeguarding the nation’s environment and resources.
Officially launching the 2025 National Fire Awareness Week at the event, the Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, Honourable Dr. Evelyn Ndlovu, highlighted the critical and immediate need for a unified national effort to combat the persistent threat of veld fires.
