Two Foreign Nationals Nabbed at RGMI Airport for Drug Trafficking

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have apprehended two foreign nationals at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International (RGMI) Airport in Harare today on suspicion of drug trafficking. 

The individuals, who were arriving on a flight from Thailand, were found to be in possession of a shocking quantity of suspected cannabis.

 

According to law enforcement officials at the airport, the two suspects were traveling with four Monarch brand suitcases.

Upon inspection, the suitcases were discovered to contain a substantial amount of loose “skunky dagga,” a potent form of cannabis.

 

The breakdown of the seized narcotics by suitcase is as follows:

 First Monarch Suitcase: 18.5 kilograms of loose skunky dagga,

Second Monarch Suitcase: 17 kilograms of loose skunky dagga,

Third Monarch Suitcase: 18.4 kilograms of loose skunky dagga,

Fourth Monarch Suitcase: 16 kilograms of loose skunky dagga.

The total weight of the confiscated suspected cannabis amounts to approximately 70 kilograms.

The identities of the arrested individuals and their nationalities have not yet been officially released.
