Failure to comply will result in the confiscation of goods.

This measure aims to address the proliferation of informal trading activities that have reportedly led to congestion and unsanitary conditions in various parts of Chitungwiza.

Commuter omnibus and other public transport operators are also facing a crackdown.

The municipality has also prohibited the picking up or dropping off of passengers at undesignated points, stating that this practice contributes to traffic congestion and endangers public safety.

Owners of such vehicles are instructed to remove them within seven days of the notice, after which the vehicles will be removed at the owners’ cost.
