Zimbabwean artist, Gift Hombarume popularly known as Chillmaster appeared in Harare Magistrates Court earlier today, answering to severe accusations of negligent manslaughter and operating a vehicle without the required credentials.
This follows a recent accident in which he ran over a pedestrian who then died on the spot.

During the session, held at the Harare Magistrates’ Court, the musician declared his innocence.
He formally entered a plea of not guilty regarding both charges presented before Magistrate Mukurunge.
The judicial body has scheduled the next session for a future date, at which point both the prosecution and the defense are expected to submit their respective evidence.
Chillmaster remains in detention as the court deliberates on the matter of bail.
