President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially handed over title deeds to PPC Zimbabwe, rectifying a long-standing administrative error, the company has regained ownership of Subdivision E of Arlington Estate, spanning approximately 480 hectares.

The land was erroneously acquired by the government during the land acquisition program. PPC Zimbabwe had written a letter of appeal to President Mnangagwa, who directed the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works to correct the mistake.

The handover ceremony took place at State House in Harare, where PPC executives received the title deeds. PPC’s Head of Legal and Compliance, Tawanda Chiurayi, expressed gratitude, stating, “The title that we got is for 480 hectares… So today was the ceremonial handover of the title deeds to us, confirming the return of the land to us as PPC.”

Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Daniel Garwe, explained that the government’s error was acknowledged, and corrective measures were taken. “The acquisition was an error, and the company PPC wrote a letter of appeal to His Excellency, and he understood their plight and directed the Ministry to correct the wrongs.”

This development marks a positive resolution for PPC Zimbabwe, allowing the company to regain control over its privately owned land.
