Bulawayo Chiefs Administrator Suspended Over $5000 Fraud Allegations

0

Bulawayo Chiefs administrator Andrew Mandigora has been suspended with immediate effect amid allegations of defrauding Highlanders FC of US$5,000.

Mandigora is accused of colluding with former Highlanders CEO Brian Moyo to present fake invoices for the sale of two players from Amakhosi.

The two men allegedly agreed to present a US$23,000 invoice to Highlanders, despite having agreed on a lower amount of US$18,000 with Bulawayo Chiefs. The difference of US$5,000 was allegedly shared between them, with Moyo taking the larger share.

Highlanders announced Moyo’s resignation on Saturday, promising to investigate the matter. Sources suggest that the probe may implicate more individuals.

The case highlights concerns about financial management and accountability within the football club.
