The Public Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed circulating social media claims suggesting the introduction of a new deployment policy for teachers, labeling them as false and misleading.
In an official statement, the PSC reaffirmed that its employment procedures remain unchanged and continue to follow established protocols. The Commission urged job seekers to verify any recruitment-related information through authorized sources to avoid being misled by false reports.
“The Public Service Commission wishes to advise its valuable stakeholders to disregard the fake news circulating on social media claiming that the PSC has implemented a new deployment policy targeting teachers. This claim is false. The message should be dismissed and condemned with the contempt it deserves,” the statement read.
The Commission clarified that there are no targeted recruitment drives as alleged in the circulating misinformation. All employment processes continue to adhere to the official procedures.
The PSC emphasized that any legitimate updates regarding employment opportunities and developments in the Civil Service will always be communicated through its formal channels. Prospective employees are encouraged to register through the PSC Online Registration platform or visit any PSC offices for assistance. Official announcements are also made via the Commission’s website and verified social media platforms.
Reaffirming its dedication to supporting educators and strengthening Zimbabwe’s education sector, the PSC cautioned against the dangers of spreading misinformation.
“Spreading false information can undermine trust in legitimate employment processes. Let us shun falsehoods and work together to build a legitimately informed and vigilant society,” the Commission stated.
The PSC urged all stakeholders to rely solely on official communication to avoid falling victim to misleading claims.
