Zimbabwe is set to use Expo 2025 Osaka as a strategic stage to reshape its international image and attract investment, said the Secretary For Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Albert Chimbindi during the launch of a digital platform dedicated to the country’s participation in the global event. The Expo, opening in Japan on April 12, 2025, presents a rare opportunity for Zimbabwe to redefine its narrative, focusing on progress, innovation, and economic revival.

Speaking at the launch at Golden Conifier Harare, Chimbindi underscored the importance of Expo 2025 Osaka in advancing Zimbabwe’s diplomatic and economic repositioning. The government aims to showcase the country as an emerging investment hub, highlighting reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business, as well as opportunities in tourism, agriculture, mining, and manufacturing.

To maximize international engagement, Zimbabwe has launched a dedicated website and mobile application, providing real time updates, investment opportunities, and interactive features for potential business partners. Officials believe the digital platform will bridge the gap between Zimbabwe and global investors, reinforcing the country’s commitment to accessibility and transparency.

Tourism will also take center stage, with Zimbabwe aiming to rebrand itself as a premier destination for global travelers. The country will highlight its world renowned attractions, including Victoria Falls, Great Zimbabwe, and Hwange National Park, positioning itself as a leader in sustainable tourism.

“Zimbabwe will be presented as a nation of opportunities, progress and innovation, therefore, I encourage you all to recognize the importance of this Expo for Zimbabwe’s future. Let us make Expo 2025 Osaka a resounding success for our nation”, said Chimbindi.

Government officials commended the collaboration among ministries, agencies, and private sector partners in ensuring a strong presence at the Expo. The event also honored individuals who have contributed to Zimbabwe’s Expo preparations, recognizing their efforts in driving the country’s vision for economic transformation.

As the countdown to Expo 2025 Osaka continues, Zimbabwe is determined to make a lasting impression, using the global stage to rewrite its narrative and secure a future of growth, investment, and international cooperation.
