The governments of Zimbabwe and Algeria have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, a move aimed at strengthening ties and promoting investment in the industry.
Cabinet approved the agreement on Tuesday, following a presentation by Minister of Justice, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs, Honourable Ziyambi Ziyambi, who chairs the Cabinet Committee on Legislation. The Memorandum of Understanding seeks to establish a framework for collaboration between the two nations to develop and market their tourism sectors.
The agreement will facilitate the exchange of expertise, research, and best practices, while also encouraging joint tourism initiatives and investment opportunities. Both countries aim to leverage their natural and cultural attractions to boost arrivals and economic benefits.

This development coincides with Zimbabwe’s tourism industry experiencing a significant revival, aligning with the global rise in tourist numbers and showcasing the country’s dedicated efforts to revamp its tourism sector.
This partnership marks a significant step in Zimbabwe’s efforts to expand its global tourism network and strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with Algeria. The two nations have pledged to work closely to implement the agreement and ensure tangible benefits for their tourism industries.
