Two men from Hwange were convicted of theft and fined $110 USD each after stealing a 1000-liter water tank from a local general dealer.
Mduduzi Ndubiwa, 24, and Luckmore Sibanda, 22, were sentenced at the Hwange Magistrates’ Court on March 4, 2025.

The incident occurred on February 18, 2025, at Whitehead General Dealer in Madumabisa Village.
The owner, Mike Chinyoka, had left his shop at 5:30 PM after completing maintenance work, leaving the water tank intact.
He discovered the theft the following morning at 8:00 AM.
Following an investigation, police arrested Ndubiwa and Sibanda, recovering the empty plastic tank.
