Scotland F.C Make PSL History with First Victory Over Triangle United.

Newly promoted league side Scotland F.C secured a hard-fought victory over Triangle United at Rufaro Stadium yesterday. The match, which kicked off at the iconic venue, saw Scotland F.C emerge triumphant with a 1-0 victory, thanks to an injury-time own goal by Triangle United’s defense.

The win marked a significant turnaround for Scotland F.C, who had made a slow start to their PSL campaign. In the early stages of the match, the team’s combination appeared disjointed, struggling to find cohesion and rhythm.
However, as the game progressed, Scotland F.C began to find their footing, gradually gaining momentum and confidence.

Despite being the underdogs, Scotland F.C showed remarkable resilience and determination, pushing Triangle United to the limit.
The match seemed destined for a draw, but fate had other plans. In the dying moments of the game, Triangle United’s defense succumbed to pressure, scoring an own goal that sealed the win for Scotland F.C.

Coach Tonderayi Ndiraya expressed a mixed reaction to the performance, saying it was not as pleasing as expected, considering the number of stars on his side.

“I think this is a historic moment for us as a team. Our first game in the league, and we start with a win. You can’t ask for much. What’s important for us is that we recorded a win,” Ndiraya said.

“I must admit it was difficult, and we always knew it was going to be difficult. Despite having a galaxy of stars in our team, I think it’s essential to understand that football is a process,” he added.

The victory is a massive boost for Scotland F.C, who will look to build on this momentum as they navigate the challenges of the PSL. With this win, they will aim to climb up the league table and establish themselves as a formidable force in Zimbabwean football.

Scotland will face Harare giants Caps United in their next game at Rufaro Stadium.
