OK Zimbabwe Announces Major Executive Shakeup Amidst Operating Challenges, Returns Zireva as CEO

OK Zimbabwe Limited, a major retail company, has announced a restructuring of its executive leadership following a period of operating challenges.

The company revealed that Chief Executive Officer Maxen Phillip Karombo, Chief Financial Officer Phillimon Mushosho, and Supply Chain Director Knox Mupaya have all departed the company through voluntary separation agreements, effective immediately.

In their place, OK Zimbabwe has appointed a new leadership team tasked with stabilizing and turning around the business within the next six months.

Willard Vimbai Zireva has returned back as the new Chief Executive Officer, Alex Edgar Siyavora will take over as Chief Financial Officer, and Muzvidzwa Richard Chingaira will head the Supply Chain department.

The company’s statement indicated that the changes are a result of a comprehensive business review and restructuring aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving sustainable growth in a dynamic market.

 

“The Board would like to acknowledge the outgoing Executive team for their service through this challenging period, and to welcome back the team reposed with the remit to stabilize and turn the business around over the next six months whilst the Company engages in the process to identify the executive replacements,” the statement read.

 

OK Zimbabwe Limited is a publicly listed company with a diverse portfolio of retail brands including OK, Bon Marche, Food Lovers Market, and others.
