Pamela Mavhundike (41) of Dangamvura, Mutare, is facing charges of drug trafficking after being apprehended at the Beitbridge border post with 13.39 kilograms of dagga.
Mavhundike was arrested at the Dulivhadzimu bus terminus after officers, acting on a tip-off, searched her luggage aboard an Inter Africa bus.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe Pamela’s brown traveling bag, was discovered containing five wrapped cobs of the illicit drug, valued at an estimated US$1,390.
“The dagga worth US$1,390 was found in her brown travelling bag aboard an Inter Africa bus.” Reads the statement.
The haul was weighed at Zimpost in Mavhundike’s presence before she was taken into custody.
She appeared before the Beitbridge Magistrates Court where the case was postponed to February 25, 2025, for a bail ruling.
