Police Name and Shame 17 Drug Kingpins Arrested Across Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have released the names of 17 suspected drug dealers arrested across the country between January 8th and 11th February, 2025, as part of their ongoing crackdown on drug and substance abuse.

In a statement, ZRP confirmed the arrests, vowing to continue the fight against drug syndicates and urging the public to report drug-related activities. The suspects face charges ranging from unlawful possession of drugs to the sale and distribution of unregistered medicines.

The arrest were made in different parts of the country including, Harare, Chitungwiza, Mutare, Epworth, Masvingo and Mbare. Authorities have warned that more arrests will be expected as they intensify surveillance and community engagement efforts.

The fight against drug abuse is ongoing and the ZRP call on the public to continue providing information that leads to the arrest of drug suppliers.

Among those apprehended is:
• Tafadzwa Kagande (37) of Harare, caught with 251 kilograms of dagga on the 8th of January
• Wadzanai Siyamachira (38) of Warren Park D, Harare, found with three grams of cocaine on 17th January.
• Yeukai Sandra Bangajena (34) of Witchens Farm, Blacket, who was arrested on the 22nd of January, for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines, including Iblucap tablets, Epiderm Cream and Doxycycline capsules, mls Clairman Lightening Cream, Ibuprofen, Cafemol tablets, ml Paw Lait oil and Doxycycline 100 mg capsules.
• Blessing Phiri (27) of Block B 13, Matererini Flats, Mbare, Harare was arrested on 23rd January for unlawful possession of five grams of Crystal Meth and mls of Broncleer Cough Syrup.
• Kalisto Bisenti (45) of Jongwe Road, Mufakose was arrested on 24th January for unlawful possession of 19 grammes of Crystal Meth
• Tatenda Rusere (38) alias Jack of Glenview 2, Harare was arrested on 24th January for possession of 23 grammes of Cocaine
• Morgan Kadungure (26) of Glenwood, Epworth, Harare and Pride Ezra Madamombe of Ushewekunze, Harare were arrested on 04th February at a security check point at the 50 kilometre peg along Beitbridge-Masvingo road for unlawful possession of 34 kilograms of dagga.
• Sandra Tirivangani (35) and Perpetua Madamombe of Block 3, B4, Nenyere Flats, Mbare, Harare were arrested on 06th February for unlawful possession of 136 sachets of skunky dagga.
• Naison Takaindisa (37) of Chiedza Township, Karoi and Necious Chipangura (22) of Orangevale, Harare were arrested on 06th February for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines, including 1900 Compound Magnesium Triscilicate tablets, 11 000 Ibuprofen tablets, 3 000 quick tablets and Gold skin loyion.
• Bezel Munodawafa (35) of Dustin road, Hillside, Harare was arrested on 07th February for unlawful possession of three grammes of Crystal Meth.
• Moleen Mazani (24) of Mazani Homestead, Nyatsime Chitungwiza was arrested on 10th February for cultivation of five plants of dagga.

The ZRP has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling drug and substance abuse, urging citizens to report drug related activities via the National Complaints Desk at (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp 0712 800 197.

This latest operation underscores the government’s intensified efforts to curb the distribution and consumption of illicit drugs in Zimbabwe.
